All Access EKY is an initiative coordinated by Appalshop, the Kentucky Health Justice Network, and Power to Decide that works within ten Southeastern Kentucky counties to build support for policies, programs and services that ensure all people have access to the full range of contraceptive methods.
We are currently accepting new applications for our 2022-2023 grant year! Successful applicants must demonstrate a knowledge of the region and be able to act as a sounding board for strategic advice on the All Access EKY project.
If you are one or more of the following, we’d love to hear from you:
Health care professionals dedicated to expanding contraceptive access in Appalachia.
Community leaders willing to engage their peers to advocate for reproductive healthcare.
Teachers and school administrators who want to put forward their expertise in young people and reproductive health education in the schools.
Medical and nursing students who are eager to put their enthusiasm toward an important cause.
Governmental advocates who can assist in navigating the political landscape of policy development, funding, and legislation.
Young people who are willing to talk about their own experiences accessing reproductive healthcare in Appalchia.
We are looking for folks who are willing to:
Attend and actively participate in four virtual board meetings annually.
Offer support in at least one of our buckets of work: Training/Support for Medical Education Programs, Policy, and Multimedia Outreach/Awareness
Build relationships and networks with community stakeholders and influential leaders within your own counties, communities, and networks
Share local news and events
